Circus skills on show at Recre

FIRE-EATERS, stilt walkers and other circus skills will be out to entertain supporters at tonight’s televised Haven game against last year’s champions Barrow.
In what should be a cracker of a clash in the Co-operative Championship, Haven officials are hoping the added entertainment will help boost the crowd.
“We really need as big a crowd cheering on the lads as possible on Thursday night, a local crowd will really lift the local lads for this big derby match,” said Haven general manager Nigel Beaty.
Pride the Lion is also set to show off his acrobatic skills to the crowd. And in another bonus for fans, the club is offering a reduced ticket deal for the game, which kicks off at 6pm tonight.
If you buy your tickets in advance, up to 1pm today, you can save. Family tickets, for two adults and two children, will be £25, and adult ground £12 and concessions £6. For more information call the ticket office on 01946 692915.
Officials are very keen that the fans keep supporting the side, and turn out in big numbers to cheer them on against Barrow tonight.
Haven assistant coach Les Ashe said: “The fans are extremely important, they play a bigger role than they could ever imagine in regards to getting behind the team, for moral support.
“We are thankful for the people who follow us on the road and are aware that sometimes we let them down but it is important they keep coming and offering us their support.
“It is sometimes difficult to watch a team lacking in confidence and form but we will rectify that, we just need them to keep coming – not just tonight but all season.”
